This policy covers LayoodPDF, an Android and iOS app published by LayoodTechnologies for scanning documents and creating, editing, compressing and organizing PDF files. It explains what the app can access on your device, what it does with that access, and what — deliberately — it never does.
LayoodPDF asks for exactly the device permissions its scanning and import features need, and nothing beyond that:
You can review or revoke any of these at any time in your device's Settings, though the related feature will stop working until it's granted again.
Every operation LayoodPDF offers runs locally, on your device:
None of these send the document, its images, or its text to LayoodTechnologies or to any server we operate. There is no server in the loop at all — the app has no backend.
LayoodPDF does not collect, and has no mechanism to collect: your name or account details (there is no account), your location, your contacts, analytics about how you use the app, advertising identifiers, or crash reports sent to a remote service. Nothing about your usage of the app is transmitted anywhere.
LayoodPDF is built with a small number of third-party libraries. Two are worth calling out specifically because they touch the network or a platform-level scanning engine:
PDFs and images you create are stored in the app's private storage area on your device — the same place any app keeps its own files. You control this data directly from the My Files screen (rename, delete individually or in bulk) and from Settings ("Clear temporary files," which removes scratch files left over from building a PDF).
Uninstalling LayoodPDF removes everything the app stored, since none of it exists anywhere else.
The Protect PDF tool encrypts a file with AES-256 using a password you choose. That password is used only in the moment to encrypt or unlock the file on your device — LayoodPDF does not store it, transmit it, or have any way to recover it if you forget it. Losing the password means losing access to that specific file, the same as with any encrypted document.
LayoodPDF is a general-purpose productivity tool, not directed at children. Since the app collects no personal data from any user regardless of age, no additional children's-privacy handling is required — there's simply nothing collected to protect.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use LayoodPDF after a change means you accept the revised policy. We recommend checking back occasionally if you'd like to stay current.
Questions about this policy or how LayoodPDF handles device permissions can be sent directly to the developer.
